Join as an independent contractor to analyze CAD assemblies, create challenging questions from CAD models, and evaluate AI reasoning. Remote work with flexible hours and ~15 hours per week is available in India.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience with multi-part mechanical assemblies, from concept through completion.
• Mastery in at least one CAD tool with parametric modeling.
• Strong written English communication skills and understanding of GD&T.

The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real mechanical design engineers. The teams building them need professionals who can create realistic, challenging questions from CAD models, judge how accurately the AI reasons through them, write the defensible answer an experienced engineer would give, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of engineering AI systems works. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.

What you'll do

• Analyze CAD assemblies made up of multiple parts to determine design intent and key constraints
• Build challenging technical questions from CAD models, then check the answers against those models for defensibility
• Assess AI-generated reasoning about mechanisms and kinematics, flagging conclusions that are inaccurate or unsupported
• Clarify ambiguous questions and document edge cases, disagreements, and traceability

Who this is for

• At least five years of experience with multi-part mechanical assemblies, from concept through completion, including creating and overseeing them
• Mastery in at least one CAD tool with parametric modeling, such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape or Solid Edge
• Strong written English communication skills, with a strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance judgment, mechanisms, kinematics, assembly reasoning and design intent
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
