Mindrift is seeking a CAD modelling specialist to train and evaluate AI agents operating inside a real CAD environment. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and assess the agent’s attempts alongside CFD engineers.
The role is remote and freelance, with flexible hours and project-based work suitable for experts in mechanical/aerospace CAD. Requirements include 5+ years of CAD modelling in CATIA/SolidWorks/Siemens NX/Creo, an active CAD licence, Python and GitHub familiarity,
Help train and evaluate AI agents that work inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks, work that would take an expert 10–15 hours. You'll design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge the agent's attempts. You'll work alongside CFD engineers who simulate the geometry you build.
For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.
On this project, contributors can earn up to $9 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise.
