Job summary

RGBSI seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with 4+ years of experience to support sustaining engineering initiatives for existing product lines. You will contribute to design, prototyping, and testing of industrial products from concept to production.

Responsibilities include sustaining engineering, end-to-end product development, mechanical design, CAD modeling in CATIA and Creo, DFMEA, tolerance stackups, and prototype testing to validate new designs and cost‑effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Sustaining Engineering: support existing product lines by addressing design issues and cost reductions.
• Product Development: manage end-to-end design and development lifecycle for industrial products.
• Mechanical Design: apply principles to create robust designs.
• CAD Modeling: create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA and Creo.
• Analytical Engineering: perform design calculations, tolerance stackups and DFMEA documentation.
• Engineering Changes: manage ECN/ECO processes for lifecycles.
• Prototyping & Testing: lead prototype development and physical testing of new designs.
• Manufacturing Optimization: apply DFX to optimize assembly and serviceability.

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with over 4 years of experience. They will support sustaining engineering initiatives for existing product lines. Working on design, prototyping, and testing of industrial products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Sustaining Engineering: Support existing product lines by troubleshooting design issues, improving product reliability, and implementing cost-reduction engineering updates.
• Product Development: end-to-end design and development lifecycle for industrial products.
• Mechanical Design: Apply strong mechanical design fundamentals and machine design principles to creations.
• CAD Modeling: Create robust 3D models and detailed 2D engineering drawings using CATIA and Creo.
• Analytical Engineering: Perform rigorous design calculations, tolerance stackup analysis, and DFMEA documentation.
• Engineering Changes: Manage product lifecycles and continuous improvements through standard ECN and ECO processes.
• Prototyping & Testing: Lead prototype development and execute physical testing to validate new designs and sustaining modifications.
• Manufacturing Optimization: Implement DFX principles to ensure designs are optimized for assembly, serviceability, and cost.

Skills Required :

• Software Proficiency: High expertise in CATIA and Creo for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Technical Drafting: Advanced proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Materials Science: Deep knowledge of engineering materials, selection criteria, and manufacturing processes.
• Design Validation: Strong capability in identifying failure modes using DFMEA
• Simulation: Hands-on knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
