Job summary

Virtual Studio is seeking a Mechanical BIM Specialist to model and coordinate HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. You will create accurate BIM models in Revit, prepare shop drawings, and ensure alignment with project standards.

The role requires 3+ years of BIM experience and hands‑on knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing/FP, with proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Based in Ahmedabad, full‑time on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Mechanical BIM Modeling / MEP.
• Hands‑on experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical shop drawing preparation.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Understanding of MEP coordination workflows.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical BIM models using Revit.
• Prepare mechanical shop drawings, construction drawings, and coordinated layouts.
• Model HVAC systems, including ductwork, equipment, and associated components.
• Develop plumbing layouts, including water supply, drainage, and piping systems.
• Model fire protection systems, including sprinkler piping and associated components.
• Coordinate HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection services with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and clash resolution using Navisworks.
• Review architectural and structural drawings to identify potential coordination issues.
• Update BIM models and drawings based on design changes and project requirements.
• Ensure model accuracy and compliance with project standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, BIM coordinators, and project teams to deliver coordinated drawings.
