Job summary

Idexcel seeks a Mechanical BIM Modeler to develop detailed 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in Revit MEP, up to LOD 400/500. You will lead clash detection and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated designs in Vadodara.

You will review documents, manage RFIs, and ensure model integrity with timely updates, while mentoring junior modelers and supporting BIM processes and cloud collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems up to LOD 400/500 in Revit MEP.
• Perform BIM clash detection and issue tracking for coordinated design solutions.
• Review project documents, raise RFIs, and monitor model updates.
• Generate accurate quantity take-offs, schedules, and construction/shop drawings from BIM models.
• Mentor junior modelers and ensure adherence to BIM standards.
• Support cloud-based model sharing and version control using BIM360/ACC.
• Prepare Revit families, manage templates, and contribute to BIM process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction drawings and takeoffs from BIM models.

Job Description

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting) up to LOD 400/500 in Revit MEP.
• Perform BIM clash detection, issue tracking, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated design solutions.
• Review project documents, raise and monitor RFIs, and ensure model integrity and timely updates.

• Guide and mentor junior modelers, ensuring quality outputs and adherence to BIM standards.
• Support cloud-based model sharing, issue tracking, and model version management BIM360/ACC.
• Prepare Revit families, manage templates, and contribute to BIM process improvements and standardization.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in Revit MEP, for mechanical BIM modeling.
• Hands-on experience with BIM clash coordination and federated model management.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, international codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, IPC), and BIM documentation standards.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
• Experience with BIM 360/ACC and familiarity with automation (Dynamo scripting) is a plus.
