Job summary

Syngenta Group in Pune is seeking a Global Data Expert within the Finance Operations team to safeguard the quality and reliability of master data across financial processes worldwide.

You will partner with regional Finance, Data Excellence and IT teams to manage master data changes, resolve data issues and drive continuous improvement in data governance. A multinational experience and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in finance master data, data governance or a comparable operational data-management role within a multinational environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG and SAP FICO, including master-data workflows.
• Working knowledge of finance master data, such as GL accounts, cost centres, profit centres and bank master data.
• Experience investigating CFIN/AIF errors, resolving issues and supporting transaction reprocessing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including PivotTables, formulae and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a global team.

• Maintain finance master data, including GL accounts, cost centres, profit centres, bank master data, hierarchies, groups and mappings.
• Analyse and resolve CFIN/AIF-related errors; coordinate follow-up actions, reprocessing and closure within agreed SLAs.
• Partner with regional experts, Finance teams and IT to assess change impacts, manage escalations and improve data quality.
• Contribute to reporting, documentation, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

To support this mission, Syngenta’s Finance Operations Team is seeking a MDG COE - Global Data Expert in Pune.

Join a global Finance Master Data Governance team that helps safeguard the quality, consistency and reliability of the data underpinning financial processes worldwide. As Global Data Expert, you will act as a trusted operational data custodian and partner with regional Finance, Data Excellence and IT teams.

Desired qualifications

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow, data lineage, data mapping or other data-governance tools.
• SAP FICO certification or relevant SAP finance certification.
• Experience supporting month-end close activities and working across global time zones.
• Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Technology or a related discipline.
