Job summary

Medico Hub in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, is seeking an experienced Consultant General Physician/General Medicine Specialist to oversee OPD, IPD and emergency duties. The role requires MD or DNB in General Medicine and valid TN/NMC registration, with substantial clinical exposure.

You will provide comprehensive patient care, coordinate with specialists, review investigations, and lead ward rounds. Immediate joining is preferred, with negotiable salary based on qualification and experience.

Qualifications

• MD General Medicine or DNB General Medicine required.
• Registration with NMC / Tamil Nadu Medical Council is mandatory.
• Experience in OPD/IPD and emergency medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Attend medical emergencies and provide stabilization.
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists and other specialists.
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other reports.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor response to therapy.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as required.

EXPERIENCE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory disorders and other general medical cases
• Attend to medical emergencies and provide timely stabilization
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and monitor patient progress
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other diagnostic reports
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and monitor response to treatment
• Manage medical complications in post-operative and critically ill patients
• Provide pre-operative medical evaluation and clearance when required
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Intensivists and other specialists
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, lifestyle modification and follow-up
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes and discharge summaries
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements
• Follow hospital, infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocols
