Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in India seeks a Materials Management professional to maintain inventory levels and ensure a smooth flow of materials from supply chain to manufacturing. The role is onsite five days a week with relocation available.

You will lead staffing and performance management for the materials team, define optimal stock levels, analyze inventory data, and coordinate inventory software. Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field is required.

Role Definition

Maintains agreed-upon inventory levels to provide a flow of raw materials and components from the supply chain to the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the environment of the inventory stock room is in line with requirements for each product.
• Managing staffing, development, and performance management of materials management workers. Ensuring proper labor relations.
• Defining and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Performing inventory analysis and making recommendations for stock levels.
• Coordinating maintenance and support of inventory management software.

Degree Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
