Job summary

Blue Star in Chennai is seeking a Material Coordinator to convert Starserv MRs into SAP MRs and to coordinate with SDEs, AMs, RPCs, field engineers, logistics, and planning teams for timely material issuance and dispatch. You will track material movement, RMRs, and ensure closure of pending transactions, maintain MSLs, monitor stock and non-moving inventory, and prepare weekly MIS reports.

• Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Material Coordination, SAP MM, Inventory Management or Logistics.
• Working knowledge of SAP MM and MS Excel.
• Strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Convert Starserv Material Requests (MRs) into SAP MRs.
• Coordinate with SDEs, AMs, RPCs, field engineers, logistics and planning teams for timely material issuance and dispatch.
• Track material movement, GITs, RMRs, and ensure closure of pending transactions.
• Follow up on defective material returns and coordinate repairs with vendors.
• Monitor open MRs, PRs, sales status, stock availability, and non-moving inventory.
• Maintain approved Material Stock Lists (MSL) and optimize inventory based on demand.
• Prepare weekly and bi-weekly MIS reports (MR Status, UFO, L4/L5 reports).
• Conduct monthly RPC visits and support issue resolution related to SAP, logistics, and material planning.
