Job summary

UNSW Bengaluru is seeking a Marketing & Recruitment Analyst to deliver analytics, insights and performance measurement across marketing, product, and student recruitment at the new campus.

You will implement robust measurement frameworks, dashboards, and experimentation to optimise campaign effectiveness, align with enterprise data platforms, and collaborate with Bengaluru and Sydney teams to drive data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with substantial experience in data analytics, marketing analytics, or a related field, or equivalent competence gained through education, training, or experience.
  • Experience analysing complex data sets for commercial/marketing problems.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills translating analysis into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in fast-paced environments.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel, or CRM/marketing tech platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and structure insights from the field to build a scalable evidence base.
  • Support analysis of product performance, growth opportunities, market entry, competitive intelligence, and GTM initiatives.
  • Translate analytics into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Localise and implement UNSW Sydney analytics frameworks for Bengaluru.
  • Develop scalable, consistent research practices aligned to global playbooks and governance.
  • Provide data and insights to support data-informed decisions across marketing, product and recruitment.
  • Contribute to attribution, lead scoring and ROI measurement models for commercial decision-making.
  • Deliver ongoing analysis and reporting of marketing, digital, product, and recruitment performance across channels.
  • Investigate trends and anomalies to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support test-and-learn and experimentation to improve marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Design/build dashboards and visuals that cover the Indian market and campaigns.
  • Use Power BI/Adobe Analytics or equivalents to deliver accurate measurement solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and automation across outputs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, recruitment, and digital teams to align analytics outputs.

Job description

The Marketing & Recruitment Analyst supports the delivery of marketing and student recruitment outcomes for UNSW Bengaluru by providing analytics, insights, and performance measurement to inform marketing, product, and student recruitment activities. Operating within UNSW Sydney’s global analytics, governance, and digital frameworks for marketing and recruitment, the role plays a critical role in embedding data-led decision-making and performance accountability within a newly established international campus.

Operating across marketing, recruitment, product, and digital domains, the role focuses on implementing robust measurement frameworks, dashboards, and experimentation approaches to optimise campaign effectiveness, product performance, and return on investment. The position balances strong local execution in Bengaluru with alignment to enterprise data platforms, analytics tools, and governance frameworks in accordance with UNSW.

Accountabilities
Product, Audience & Commercial Insights
  • Collect and structure insights from the field (audience feedback, events surveys, TNE competitor monitoring, etc.) to organise a scalable, structured and replicable evidence base
  • Support analysis related to product performance, growth opportunities, market entry, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Analytics
  • Support the localisation and implementation of UNSW Sydney analytics and performance measurement frameworks to meet UNSW Bengaluru’s marketing, product, and recruitment objectives.
  • Contribute to the establishment of scalable, consistent research and analytics practices for a growing international campus, aligned to UNSW Sydney defined playbooks, platforms and governance frameworks.
  • Provide data and insights to support data-informed decision-making across marketing, product, and student recruitment stakeholders.
Performance Measurement & Optimisation
  • Contribute to the development of attribution, lead scoring, and ROI measurement models that support commercial decision-making.
  • Deliver ongoing analysis, tracking, and reporting of marketing, digital, product, and student recruitment performance across priority channels and initiatives.
  • Investigate trends, drivers, and anomalies in performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and optimisation actions.
  • Support test-and-learn and experimentation frameworks to drive continuous improvement in marketing campaign effectiveness and performance outcomes
  • Localise or design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations that combine multiple data sources to provide clear performance insights on the Indian market and marketing campaigns.
  • Use analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Adobe Analytics or equivalent) to deliver accurate, actionable measurement solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and automation across reporting outputs.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Data Governance
  • Work closely with marketing, product, student recruitment, and digital teams to align analytics outputs to business needs and priorities.
  • Act as a responsible contributor to UNSW’s enterprise marketing data management and governance ecosystem.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with UNSW Bengaluru and Sydney-based analytics and data stakeholders to support alignment and knowledge sharing.
