Job summary

Job Description

The Marketing & Communications team is how Catalyx tells its story to the market. We build the narrative, run the channels, and keep content sharp and consistent. We're seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to own that story and the function behind it. This is a high-ownership role for an operator and a storyteller in equal measure. You'll build our marketing engine from the ground up, set the standards and systems that keep pushing comms forward, lead a team of content creators, and shape the strategy that ties marketing to our commercial and fundraising goals. You'll work directly with the COO and the founders.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Operations & Campaigns:

• Own marketing and communications campaigns across our newsletter, website, LinkedIn, Instagram and X, keeping them consistent, on-brand, and on schedule.
• Build the workflows, calendars, and review-and-approval processes that let the function run reliably while providing visibility to leadership.
• Set and enforce quality standards across written and visual content.
• Lead and develop a team of content creators, setting priorities, KPIs, and a clear operating rhythm that scales with the company.
• Manage workload, feedback, and growth so the team produces impactful work on a regular cadence.
• Shape marketing strategy and tie it to commercial and GTM goals.
• Support live deals and fundraising with effective narrative and collateral, from investor materials to customer-facing content.
• Hold a clear point of view on positioning and messaging for a deep-tech company and ensure all external comms align accordingly.

Technical Storytelling:

• Translate complex work across re-entry, thermal protection, and hypersonic defense into clear, credible stories for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with founders and engineering to get the substance right and keep a consistent voice across every channel.

Measurement & Systems:

• Define what success looks like for each channel, measure it, and report on it.
• Own the marketing stack and synthesize reporting across platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–6 years in marketing or communications, including experience leading people and managing marketing budgets.
• 100% on-site role at our facility in Ahmedabad; must be based in Ahmedabad or willing to relocate.
• Experience at a VC-backed startup, excited by ambiguity, speed, and building from scratch.
• Excellent writing and editing, with a knack for making technical subjects clear and compelling.
• A track record of running multi-channel campaigns across newsletter, web, and social with consistency.
• High-ownership of execution and the operational discipline to set up processes, calendars and KPIs and keep them running like clockwork.
• Confidence working with and presenting to senior stakeholders, including founders, investors, and customers.
• Experience managing external agencies and contractors.
• Comfortable working across a range of marketing tech and platforms.
• A strong appetite for technical subject matter and the curiosity to go deep.
• Exposure to deep tech, hardware, defense, or aerospace is a plus.
• A design eye or hands-on ability working with content and analytics tools is a plus.
