Qualifications

• Must have 7–10 years of experience designing and managing MariaDB Galera Cluster and replication topologies.
• Experience building disaster recovery strategies using mariabackup.
• Strong performance tuning including query optimization and index tuning.
• Proven incident management and RCA skills; handling Sev-1 production issues.
• Automation experience with MaxScale/HAProxy and scripting in Bash or Python.
• Deep Linux/Unix and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Galera Cluster and MariaDB replication topologies.
• Implement DR strategies and perform backups/restores.
• Tune queries, indexes, and instance parameters for performance.
• Handle Sev-1 incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Automate workflows with scripting and configuration management.
• Operate in Linux/Unix environments and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
