The role requires 7–10 years of database experience and leadership of DBA teams across MariaDB, Oracle, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL, with cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of database experience.
• Experience with high-availability, clustering, or replication.
• Ability to mentor DBAs and coordinate with IT teams.
• Strong governance, security, and disaster recovery knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily database support, maintenance, patching, and high-availability operations (clustering/replication).
• Drive structural design, capacity planning, software upgrades, and cross-platform migrations.
• Enforce data governance, security parameters, and disaster recovery/backup plans.
• Mentor junior and mid-level DBAs, manage escalations, and coordinate with cross-functional IT infrastructure towers.

Key Responsibilities -

• Operations & Delivery: Oversee daily database support, maintenance, patching, and high-availability operations (such as clustering or replication).
• Architecture & Strategy: Drive structural design, capacity planning, software upgrades, and cross-platform migrations.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce strict data governance, security parameters, and disaster recovery/backup plans.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior and mid-level DBAs, manage escalations, and coordinate with cross-functional IT infrastructure towers.

Required Skills & Qualifications -

• Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in platforms MariaDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL
• Cloud Knowledge: Experience managing cloud-hosted databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Soft Skills: Incident management, stakeholder communication, and vendor coordination"
