Job summary

TSMG Holding seeks City/Country Expert to help keep map data accurate and updated. You will review issues from map users, test location results, and support data quality with local market expertise. Field research and collaboration with data providers are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in mapping or GIS roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a local language.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, C#, or C++).
• Familiarity with GIS or mapping tools and data formats.
• Strong knowledge of local transit systems, traffic rules, and landmarks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal teams and external partners to support project goals.
• Create city-level transit data policies based on local market needs and regulations.
• Identify user expectations, data gaps, and transit-related issues.
• Improve transit data models using local knowledge of transportation systems.
• Validate and review updated transit data.
• Edit and maintain different types of transit data.
• Resolve complex mapping and transit data issues.
• Support Program Managers in communication with data providers and partners.
• Conduct field research to verify transit information and user issues.
• Support outage and alert management for assigned cities.
• Manage city-specific data pipelines using internal platforms and basic programming skills.
• Create country-specific guideline documents for operations teams.
• Provide local expertise for mapping policies and regional regulations.
• Support mapping operations with knowledge of traffic laws, landmarks, and political mapping formats.
• Review and troubleshoot mapping and operational issues.
• Act as a point of contact for country-specific mapping questions.
• Perform quality audits and identify operational errors.
• Review imported mapping data before system integration.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure correct political and regional formats are applied.
