Job summary

SIEMENS ENERGY INDIA LIMITED is seeking a Manufacturing Process Digitization Engineer to drive digital transformation on the shop floor in Aurangabad. You will work on Industry 4.0 initiatives, collect & analyze manufacturing data, and develop dashboards to track KPIs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering with 1–3 years of experience and knowledge of MES/ERP systems, SCADA/HMI, and analytics tools. You will collaborate with IT, Production, and Maintenance teams on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Eng with 1–3 years of experience.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation.
• Experience with MES/ERP interfaces and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing smart manufacturing and plant digitization initiatives.
• Support deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies across production lines.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor production KPIs.
• Collect, validate, and analyze manufacturing data from equipment and processes.
• Ensure real-time performance monitoring and cybersecurity compliance.

Position - Manufacturing Process Digitization Engineer

Location: Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Aurangabad, India

Skills

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing concepts.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and industrial automation systems.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP systems
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, SQL, C#, or Java preferred).
• Knowledge of Industrial IoT (IIoT), sensors, and data acquisition systems.
• Understanding of databases and data visualization tools such as: Power BI and Tableau
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in digital transformation projects aimed at improving efficiency and productivity
• Collect, validate, and analyze manufacturing data from equipment and processes.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor production KPIs.
• Support real-time performance monitoring of manufacturing operations.
• Identify trends and improvement opportunities using production data.
• Assist in integrating machines with MES, SCADA, ERP, and IoT platforms.
• Support connectivity between shop floor equipment and business systems.
• Help maintain digital manufacturing software applications.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, scrap, and process variation.
• Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Support root cause analysis using manufacturing data.
• Create and maintain Power BI or similar visualization dashboards.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Monitor and maintain plant KPI data viz. productivity, loss time, loss time analysis, manpower planning.
• Follow plant cybersecurity standards for connected devices.
• Ensure compliance with company IT and OT security policies.
• Maintain documentation for digitization projects and system changes.
• Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT, and Engineering teams.
• Provide technical support during implementation of digital solutions.
• Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Maintain Audit documentation for Quality and IMS audits for the manufacturing plant
