Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collecting, cleansing, and analysing operational data to identify trends and performance gaps.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports with real‑time KPIs.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, IT to align analytics with goals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, VSM, lean tools).
• Monitor OEE, uptime, yields and other KPIs to drive performance.
• Support deployment of TPM/WCM pillars to improve equipment reliability.
• Coach staff in lean concepts and problem‑solving methods.
• Implement digital manufacturing tech (MES, IIoT) to enhance data collection.

Purpose/Objective:

Operational & Manufacturing Excellence Manager optimize business efficiency by analysing complex data to identify bottlenecks, reduce costs, and improve performance. Key responsibilities include creating real-time KPIs and dashboards, performing root cause analysis, and recommending actionable improvements to stakeholders, utilizing tools like SQL, Python, and Tableau to streamline workflows and drive continuous improvement. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that support business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, track performance, and recommend improvements using data.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Modelling: Collecting, cleansing, and analysing operational data to identify trends, correlations, and performance gaps.
• Performance Optimization: Identifying process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Dashboard & Report Creation: Designing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports (using tools like Tableau or Power BI) to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in real-time.
• Strategic Recommendations: Translating technical findings into actionable insights and presenting recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with departments such as sales, marketing, and IT to align data analytics with organizational goals and objectives.
• Continuous Improvement (CI) Leadership: Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and lean tool implementation to eliminate waste.
• Performance Monitoring (OEE/KPIs): Track, analyse, and report on operational KPIs (e.g., OEE, uptime, yields) to identify performance gaps.
• TPM/WCM Deployment: Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) pillars to improve equipment reliability and autonomous maintenance.
• Capability Building: Train, coach, and mentor staff on lean methodologies, Six Sigma tools, and problem-solving techniques.
• Digital Transformation: Implement digital manufacturing technologies (e.g., MES, Industrial IoT) to enhance production efficiency and data collection.
• Standardization & Compliance: Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards across the factory floor.
• Cost Optimization: Drive productivity projects that improve manufacturing cost-efficiency and profitability

Required Technical Skills

• Visualization Tools: Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
• Analytical Tools: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas), Python, R, or statistical software.
• Process Mapping: Using tools to visualize and analyse business workflows.

Core Competencies:

• Problem-Solving: Identifying operational problems (e.g., Production, Process, etc).
• Communication: Presenting complex data in a clear, compelling manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Data Integrity & Governance: Ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in engineering degree with a process oriented background with a related field with at least 15yrs experience in data analytics.
• Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred) and Lean tools.
• Strong change management and leadership skills.
