Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to drive VAVE projects for aerospace components across Machining, Casting, Forging, Plastics, Sheetmetal, etc. You will lead end-to-end product development from concept to implementation, DFMEA, design, planning and testing.

You will collaborate with global SMEs to capture requirements and resolve design issues for manufacturing and field applications, with hands-on experience in Should Costing, NPD and teardown benchmarking.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–14 years of professional experience with mechanical products.

Responsibilities

• Drive VAVE projects independently from scoping to implementation.
• Lead end-to-end product development: concept, DFMEA, design, planning and testing.
• Capture and understand product requirements; collaborate with global SMEs to meet them.
• Provide design support for manufacturing and field issues.
• Hands-on experience in VAVE, Should Costing, NPI & NPD.
• Conduct product teardown, benchmarking, and cost reduction ideation.

Candidate Profile

Experience in VAVE of Aerospace components for various commodities like Machining, Casting, Forging, Plastics, Sheetmetal etc…

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to drive VAVE Projects independently from projecting scoping to implementation.
• Leading end to end product development activities, which includes concept generation, DFMEA, design and development, planning and testing.
• Understand & captures the requirement of the product and work closely with global SMEs to deliver the projects adhering to company’s Product Development Process.
• Provide support for product design issues for manufacturing and the field.
• Responsible to drive VAVE Projects independently from projecting scoping to implementation.
• Hands on experience in the field of VAVE, Should costing, NPI & New product development (NPD)
• Responsibility includes Product teardown of client units with competitors, product benchmarking (Design, Cost and function analysis), Should Costing (Material identification and part costing), Ideation for cost reduction and prototype design.

Skills And Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech - Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 to 14 Years of professional experience dealing with mechanical products.
