Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Bengaluru, India, is seeking Manual Validation Engineers responsible for test authoring, execution and validation per the prescribed test strategy. The role involves developing and executing test cases for functional and non-functional aspects, reporting defects, and ensuring alignment with project schedules.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of manual testing experience, strong requirements analysis, and the ability to clarify testability with leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in manual testing lifecycle.
• Understand business needs and clarify testability with leads.
• Develop and execute functional and non-functional test cases.
• Report defects and support defect investigation; validate fixes.
• Basic knowledge in automation; able to run/update scripts.
• Experience in medical domain (Radio pharma / Modality) preferred.

Manual Validation Engineers who is responsible for test authoring , execution and validation of the product as per prescribed test strategy and design, and ensuring that the software application complies with implicit and explicit requirements.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Understand business needs, customer workflows, product and technical requirements, and consult leads to clarify testability and approach.
• Develop and execute test cases for functional and non-functional aspects of the product, based on requirements and test strategy.
• Report defects, support defect investigation, validate defect fixes and analyze impact of fixes.
• Create test reports including defect logging, test result logging, defect analysis, RCA.
• Coordinate test activities with project team and ensure test completion as per project schedule

Desired Experience:

• Strong in requirements analysis, use cases for the product functionalities.
• Strong in Designing/Authoring and optimizing the effective test cases by applying various test design techniques.
• Execute test cases in development cycle and in formal test phase.
• Explore and apply different test approaches for identifying s/w defects early in the product life cycle.
• Should be able to clarify all requirements obtained from end customers.
• Build value to the product from obtaining customer experience and give appropriate feedbacks.
• Basic knowledge in automation, able to run automation test scripts/ updating scripts if needed.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering required, or equivalent
• 5 to 8 years of experience in manual testing lifecycle.
