Job summary

OSI Digital, Inc. is seeking a Manual Test Engineer in Hyderabad to join a collaborative, client-facing QA team.

You will perform functional, integration, and API testing, design comprehensive test scenarios, and ensure quality across releases within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Postman/SOAP UI, defect reporting, and strong communication to coordinate with stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, specs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, and dependencies with stakeholders.

• Perform manual functional, integration, end-to-end and regression testing.
• Test APIs with positive/negative/boundary scenarios.
• Retest defects and perform regression testing.
• Deliver testing activities within agreed timelines.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Communicate status, blockers and risks to clients and stakeholders.
• Use Jira/Azure DevOps to manage tests and defects.
• Leverage AI tools to assist test case design and documentation, with manual validation.
• Maintain awareness of UI automation tools for future opportunities.

Job Title : Manual Test Engineer Experience : 3-5 yrs Location : Hyderabad

OSI Digital is looking for a skilled Manual Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in functional testing and API testing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in requirements analysis, test design, test execution, defect reporting, and API validation using tools such as Postman and SOAP UI. The candidate must be capable of working independently in an Agile environment, coordinating directly with clients and project stakeholders, clarifying business requirements, and delivering testing activities within agreed timelines. Good communication, analytical thinking, and ownership of assigned deliverables are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand expected application behavior.
• Identify requirement gaps, ambiguities, and dependencies, and proactively obtain clarifications from Business Analysts, Developers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Design, review, and maintain comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and requirements traceability.
• Perform manual functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing of applications.
• Design and execute positive, negative, boundary, and exception-handling scenarios for APIs.
• Perform defect retesting and regression testing to ensure that fixes do not introduce unintended side effects.
• Execute assigned testing activities within agreed timelines while maintaining expected quality standards.
• Work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams, participate in sprint ceremonies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements, discuss defects, provide testing updates, and manage expectations.
• Provide regular status reports covering testing progress, completed activities, pending work, blockers, risks, and defects.
• Use Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to manage test activities, defects, and project work items.
• Leverage AI tools to support test case generation, requirements analysis, test data identification, and test documentation, with appropriate manual validation.
• Maintain basic awareness of test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright and identify suitable opportunities for automation.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of web-based or enterprise applications.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Ability to design and execute test scenarios covering positive, negative, boundary, and end-to-end workflows.
• Experience in functional, integration, and regression testing.
