Job summary

Hyosungtndindia is seeking an experienced Substation Engineering professional to review contract documents, manage engineering schedules, coordinate with vendors, and lead design concept efforts for substations.

You will monitor budgets, track progress, prepare Basic Design and detailed drawings, and ensure timely delivery within tight timelines. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing or coordinating substation engineering projects (minimum 2 substations).
• Good understanding of power grid market and substation product offerings.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents and manage engineering schedule for substation projects.
• Review vendor drawings and evaluate offers for substation contracts.
• Review approval documents and client comments for substation projects.
• Lead the preparation of design concepts and detailed drawings (BDS, SLD, etc.).
• Coordinate with sites and vendors to meet project schedules.
• Prepare calculations and ensure accuracy of drawings and BOM.

Job Description

• Review the contract documents and manage the engineering schedulefor Substation projects.
• Review the vendor drawings and evaluate offers for making acontract for Substation projects.
• Review the approval documents and client’s comments for Substationprojects.
• Manage the budget and save the cost for Substation projects.
• Lead the approval of documents and make a design concept forSubstation projects.
• Report the progress of engineering and plan a catch-up (ifrequired).
• Coordinate with site and vendor to meet the project schedules.
• Have a meeting with vendor and client.
• Review/ Comment on equipment type test report, FAT report andAs-built drawings.
• Support and solve technical issues with other engineers.
• Lead the preparation of Basic Design – SLD, Protection SLD, TripMatrix, Interlock logic diagram, SAS Signal list, SAS block diagram,Communication system block diagram etc.
• Lead the preparation of Calculations – Relay setting calculation,CT/VT sizing, Battery/ Chargersizing, MCCB/MCB sizing, HV/MV/LV cable sizing, etc.
• Lead a preparation of Detailed Drawing – BOM list of construction,Review/ Check all detailed drawings, Checklist & drawing for sitesurvey, Review/ Comment for civil and building drawing, BOM & diagrametc.
• Preparation of cable interconnection and termination schedule.
• Knowledge of Substation system studies will have added advantage.
• Experience on FOTE, SAS, PLCC, Communication protocols, Datatransmission with remote end LDC, LAN, CCTV etc. is a must.
  

Requirements

Experience of Managing orcoordination for Minimum 2 Number of substation engineering.
Must have knowledge of powergrid market & substation product & system offerings.
Good understanding ofengineering procedures which are being followed in the Turn-key segment.

Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills. (English)

A person willing to work instringent timelines.
Should be team player andshould be capable of handling jobs in set timeline.
MS-Office, Auto CAD (Minor editing),MS-Project (it is preferred).
