Qualifications

• QA/QC experience in industrial equipment or manufacturing.
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering; TQM or Six Sigma advantageous.
• 4–5 years of dedicated QA/QC experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS across the plant.

Job description

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience: 4-5 years

Key Responsibilities

• Quality System Management: Develop, implement, and maintain robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) across the manufacturing plant. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and industry-specific regulations (Pharma/F&B GMP standards).
• Inward Quality Control (IQC): Oversee the inspection of incoming raw materials (e.g., SS 304/316), fabricated parts, and bought-out components (electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical) to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
• In-Process Inspection: Monitor machining, fabrication, and assembly line processes. Implement rigorous quality checkpoints during the machine building phase to prevent defects and rework.
• Final Inspection & FAT: Lead the final inspection of fully assembled machinery. Coordinate and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with internal teams and clients to ensure performance, safety, and output parameters are flawless before dispatch.
• Defect Analysis & Resolution: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any non-conformities, defects, or client rejections. Implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Vendor Quality Management: Conduct vendor audits and work closely with the Purchase and Procurement teams to evaluate supplier performance and improve the quality of outsourced components.
• Team Leadership & Training: Manage, mentor, and train the QC team (inspectors and engineers). Promote a culture of continuous improvement utilizing methodologies like 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, calibration records for measuring instruments, inspection reports, and quality performance dashboards for management review.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. (Additional certifications in Total Quality Management (TQM) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly advantageous).
• Experience: 4 to 5 years of dedicated QA/QC experience in industrial equipment, capital goods, or packaging machinery manufacturing.
