- - Formulate and articulate the bank's strategic vision and mission in accordance with the Board's directives.
- - Establish comprehensive long-term and short-term strategic objectives to fulfill organizational mandates.
- - Oversee the bank's financial performance, implementing strategic adjustments as required.
- - Deliver periodic and detailed performance reports to the Board, highlighting progress on strategic initiatives
Financial Stewardship and Risk Governance
- - Direct the attainment of financial objectives, including profitability, sustainable growth, and shareholder value enhancement via ongoing performance assessments.
- - Guide strategic business development initiatives with keen awareness of market dynamics and competitive positioning.
- - Monitor and manage asset quality vigilantly, focusing on non-performing assets and potential credit exposures.
- - Conduct regular risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure frequent evaluation of the enterprise risk framework.
- - Engage with premier clients to reinforce the bank's reputation and market insights.
- - Champion innovation and customer-centric product development to enhance service delivery and satisfaction
Operational Excellence and Technological Advancement
- - Spearhead transformative initiatives in operations emphasizing digital banking, technology infrastructure advancement, cybersecurity, and cost-efficiency improvements.
- - Regularly evaluate and refine operational processes to optimise customer experience and minimise operational expenses.
- - Ensure adherence to industry-leading turnaround times through systematic process reengineering and automation
Regulatory Compliance and Governance Oversight
- - Ensure unwavering adherence to all applicable banking laws and regulatory frameworks.
- - Maintain active liaison with regulatory bodies, including the Reserve Bank of India, ensuring timely and accurate compliance reporting.
- - Remain fully informed of regulatory developments and incorporate necessary changes promptly.
- - Embed a rigorous compliance culture supported by robust control mechanisms and ethical standards.
- - Facilitate continuous communication with the Board, ensuring complete governance compliance and supporting all Board Committees effectively.
- - Obtain and review independent audit feedback to validate control environments and compliance effectiveness.
Talent Management and Organizational Development
- - Build and sustain an executive leadership team of exceptional calibre through strategic recruitment and talent development.
- - Provide inspirational leadership, mentoring, and performance management to cultivate a high-achievement and positive organisational culture.
- - Promote a collaborative environment fostering teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- - Implement formal feedback mechanisms to support employee growth and accountability
External Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, and Corporate Social Responsibility
- - Develop and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders including investors, customers, employees, and community partners.
- - Represent the bank authoritatively at industry forums, conferences, and community engagements.
- - Ensure transparent and consistent communication on the bank's performance and strategic direction.
- - Lead corporate social responsibility initiatives and community development programs.
- - Oversee public relations activities to sustain and enhance the bank's corporate image
Required Qualifications
- - Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / MBA
- - CAIIB / Diploma in Banking & Finance / diploma in Co-operative Business Management or its equivalent
Professional Experience
A minimum of 25 years of senior leadership experience in the banking or financial services sector. .
