Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Engineering, or related.
• 8–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Application Development, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering concepts.
• Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions.
• Strong experience in modern web application development using ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar ecosystems.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative leadership skills.

As a Data Engineer & Application Developer , you will support ERM’s global consulting delivery by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data platforms, modern web applications, and cloud-based solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and digital transformation. You will work within the Data Analytics & Visualization (DAV) service line, partnering with regional project teams, technical specialists, and business stakeholders across global offices to build robust data pipelines, enterprise applications, dashboards, and digital platforms that support environmental, sustainability, and business transformation initiatives.

This role is critical to enabling scalable data management, accelerating application delivery, improving data accessibility and quality, and supporting the development of cloud-native digital solutions across ERM’s global portfolio.

• Experience with Node.js, .NET, FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend development frameworks.

• Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and master data management practices.

• Experience developing enterprise dashboards using Power BI or similar visualization platforms.

• Exposure to environmental, sustainability, ESG, GIS, EHS, or asset management datasets is considered advantageous.

• Experience mentoring junior developers or data engineers and supporting capability development initiatives.
