Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead vehicle packaging and integration, shaping architecture and modularity for platform variants.

You will liaise with COEs, product planning, and customers to translate requirements into a coherent vehicle-level concept and ensure target achievement throughout the development cycle. The role emphasizes standardization across platforms, benchmarking, and collaboration with multiple engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable vehicle

Qualifications

• Lead packaging and integration of vehicle systems with a focus on weight, cost, and attributes.
• Design and evaluate vehicle architecture considering market needs and platform modularity.
• Coordinate with engineering COEs to synthesize inputs into the overall technology/concept plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging and integration of vehicle systems, evaluating concepts for weight, cost and attributes.
• Develop vehicle architecture with an emphasis on modularity to support multiple variants.
• Engage with Product Planning and customers to shape vehicle-level architecture per requirements.
• Drive modularity and standardization while addressing diverse customer needs.
• Benchmark, set targets, and support DVP conclusions for concepts and products.

Job description

• Lead Packaging & integration of Vehicle systems, evaluation of concepts considering vehicle targets in terms of weight, cost, attributes, vehicle variants/ platform modularity.
• Vehicle architecture & design considering market needs, engineering limitation and modularity within platform
• Interaction with Various Engineering COEs, Collecting all engineering/Design inputs and prepare overall plan for Technology/Concept projects
• Interaction with Product Planning / Customers to create and design vehicle level architecture as per customer need (told/ untold) and conceptualising product before detailed design
• To achieve modularity / standardization yet addressing diverse requirements
• Benchmarking, Target Setting, DVP conclusion
• Quality, DMU, DFA, DFS, DFM
• EBOM release & control
• Awareness of CNG system and its packaging in vehicle
• Awareness of current & future homologation requirements. Enable homologation compliance are considered during design stage by collecting the data from homologation group , sorting it out system wise and handling over to respective system engg.
• Support in Build and Validation and lead CFT in concern resolution of the same.
• Conclusion on product requirement considering Customer need
• Defining the key product Attributes and agreement with PMG for its positioning.
• Ensure EN / PR release, EBOM, Installation drg release through PLM and track and coordinate other aggregate releases
• Budget estimate & co-ordination for concept demostration and performance evaluation
