Job summary

McDonald's is expanding its corporate team in India and seeks an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager for IT Software. You will own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for software, cloud services, and related IT assets, partnering with IT, Security, Finance and Legal to drive cost efficiencies.

You will lead RFx events, negotiate enterprise agreements, and optimize licensing, while ensuring compliance and service continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent degree; MBA preferred.
• 8–12 years indirect strategic sourcing with 6+ years IT software procurement.
• Deep understanding of licensing, cloud pricing, and TCO concepts.
• Strong cross-functional leadership with IT/Security/Finance/Legal.
• Negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship skills.

Duties

Own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for IT Software category—including enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, end-user devices, data center/network, and maintenance & support—partnering with IT, Security, Finance and Legal.

Drive standardization, license optimization and TCO reduction while safeguarding compliance, security and service continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop category strategies covering license models (perpetual, subscription, SaaS), cloud consumption (IaaS/PaaS), hardware lifecycle and services.
• Lead RFx, vendor evaluations and competitive events; build commercial scenarios and negotiate enterprise agreements, true-ups, renewals and support SLAs.
• Negotiate terms for EULAs, DPAs, data residency, audit rights, cybersecurity/privacy, and service availability with Legal and InfoSec.
• Partner with ITAM/SAM to optimize licenses and reduce shelfware, drive demand management and asset lifecycle planning.
• Manage supplier performance (OEMs, resellers, MSPs) through KPIs, QBRs and continuous improvement roadmaps.
• Maintain accurate contract repository and forecasting; leverage e-sourcing/CLM tools and analytics for decision support.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's Degree (BE or equivalent) required; MBA preferred.
  • 8-12 years of Indirect Strategic Sourcing with 6+ years in IT Software procurement.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise licensing (e.g., subscription/SaaS, metrics, audits), cloud pricing constructs, hardware TCO and support models.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership with IT, Security, Finance and Legal; proven negotiations delivering cost, risk and service outcomes.
  • Strong background in procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management, with excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAM/ITAM experience; certifications (e.g., ITIL, FinOps) are a plus.
• Sourcing experience with major software/cloud providers and hardware OEMs.
• Preferred Skills: IT Procurement Industry Expertise, Strong Communicator, Contracting Knowledge, Stakeholder Management, Project Management, Financial Modeling and Analysis
