Job summary

Parveen Industries is seeking a Stores & Inventory Management leader to oversee all store operations at their manufacturing plant in Thane, Maharashtra. The role requires at least 15 years of experience in inventory and store management within the Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing Industry, focusing on efficiency, compliance, and material availability.

The successful candidate will manage the inventory, coordinate with procurement and production teams, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Location: Manufacturing Plant

Industry: Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing

Reporting To: Plant Head Operations Head

Qualifications
  • B.E. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or
  • MBA in Supply Chain Management Materials Management
  • Additional certifications in Inventory Management, SAP/ERP, Lean Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Store Management within the Oil & Gas Equipment Manufacturing Industry.
  • Extensive experience in handling Bought-Out Items (BOI), raw materials, consumables, project materials, and engineering components.
  • Experience in ERP-based inventory management systems.
Job Purpose

To lead and manage all store operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, preservation, inventory control, and timely issuance of materials required for production and project execution. The role is responsible for maintaining optimum inventory levels, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Store Operations Management
  • Manage overall store activities including receipt, inspection coordination, storage, preservation, issuance, and dispatch of materials.
  • Ensure proper material identification, traceability, and storage practices.
  • Establish and maintain systematic storage layouts for efficient material handling.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock as per production and project requirements.
  • Control inventory carrying costs while ensuring material availability.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits, cycle counts, and annual stock verification.
  • Minimize excess, obsolete, and non-moving inventory.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and maintain inventory records in ERP.
Bought-Out Item (BOI) Management
  • Manage receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance of all bought-out items used in oil & gas equipment manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with procurement, quality, and production teams to ensure timely availability of BOI materials.
  • Maintain complete traceability and documentation of critical BOI items.
  • Ensure proper preservation and handling of imported and customer-specified materials.
ERP & Documentation Control
  • Ensure timely GRN generation and material inward processing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP systems.
  • Monitor pending GRNs, stock transfers, material returns, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for audits and customer requirements.
Coordination & Planning
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Production Planning, Quality, Logistics, and Project teams.
  • Support production schedules by ensuring timely material availability.
  • Participate in production planning meetings and review material shortages.
  • Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for urgent material requirements.
Team Management
  • Lead, train, and develop store personnel.
  • Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
  • Ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to safety practices within the stores department.
  • Conduct regular skill development and operational reviews.
Compliance & Audit Management
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, API, customer, and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
  • Maintain records related to inventory, traceability, calibration status, and material certifications.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions related to store operations.
Safety & Housekeeping
  • Ensure implementation of 5S and safe material handling practices.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and storage conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS policies and safe working procedures.
  • Monitor storage of hazardous and special materials as per applicable standards.
