Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Chennai invites qualified engineers to join the project controls team. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, cost tracking and performance analysis across multiple projects, with stakeholders from different locations.

You will support project heads in identifying critical paths and mitigating risks to meet time, cost and performance targets. Candidates should hold ME/MTech or BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production or Automobile/IE with 4–8 years (ME/MTech) or 6–12

Qualifications

• BE /B.Tech/ M.E. / M.Tech Mechanical/Production
• Automobile / I.E.
• A PG in Operations Mgmt will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Provide support to project teams for Business Case, Planning, Budgeting and Target costing.
• Monitor performance, track progress and analyze various projects.
• Support teams across locations to achieve the targets of time, cost and performance.
• Assist team leader and key members in project planning with stakeholders.
• Help project heads identify critical path activities and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Address bottlenecks and escalate unresolved issues at higher levels.
• Develop a periodic review calendar for the team and ensure its execution.
• Assist the team leader in top management reviews.
• Plan, budget and monitor resources.
• Assist in evaluating project management processes periodically and suggest improvements.
• Develop databases and MIS related to projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external agencies to remove bottlenecks

JOB DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITY:-

• 1. Provide support to various project teams for Business Case, Planning, Budgeting, and Project and Target costing.

• 3. Continuous support to project teams across locations to achieve time, cost and performance targets.
• 4. Help team leader/ key members in project planning with the involvement of all stakeholders.
• 5. Help Project Heads to identify critical path activities and develop risk mitigation plans
• 6. Work towards de  bottlenecking issues and escalated unresolved issues at higher levels.
• 7. Develop a periodic review calendar for the team and ensure the same.
• 8. Help the team leader for top management reviews.
• 9. Plan, budget and monitor resources.
• 10. Support team leaders in evaluating project management processes periodically, identify gaps and draw up improvement plans.

KEY DELIVERABLES:-

• 1. Planning, timely monitoring and periodic review of all projects across location
• 2. Accuracy in budgeting
• 3. Reduction in bottleneck issues w.r.t. time, cost and gateways
• 4. Performance analysis leading to identification of failure/ deviation mode and taking preventive and corrective actions
• 5. Providing support through analysis, reviews and coordination to projects teams to achieve set targets

Experience

• M.E. / M.Tech  4-8 yrs.
• B.Tech/ B.E. Â 6-12 yrs.
