Job summary

Henkel is seeking a SHE Manager for the Kurkumbh site to drive Sustainability, Health, Environment and Safety across operations. You will ensure compliance with Henkel standards and legal requirements while advancing process safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with ADIS/PDIS and NEBOSH credentials (preferred), and 10–15 years in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing with proven SHE leadership experience.

  • Environmental management and regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Experience leading SHE at large manufacturing sites or multi-plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and implement site SHE strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE standards, legal regulations, permits, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for safety, sustainability, and risk reduction.
  • Manage and represent the site during SHE, Process Safety, and Corporate audits.
  • Track audit actions and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Monitor environmental compliance, including ETP operations and regulatory approvals.
  • Prepare periodic SHE reports, analyze performance trends, and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead SHE incident investigations, root cause analysis, and action tracking.
  • Develop and deliver SHE training programs to employees, contractors, and third parties.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and promote a strong safety culture across operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen SHE governance and operational excellence.

About this Position

The SHE Manager is responsible for driving theSustainability, Health, Environment and Safety (SHE) strategy at the Kurkumbhsite. Education & Qualifications

  • B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)
  • ADIS / PDIS certification (Essential)
  • NEBOSH certification (Preferred)

Experience & Skills

  • 10–15 years of experience in chemical, specialty chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading SHE functions at large manufacturing sites or multi-plant operations.
  • Strong expertise in process safety, risk assessment, and safety improvement programs.
  • Sound knowledge of environmental management, ETP operations, statutory permits, and regulatory compliance.
