Job summary

Evonik Speciality Silica India Pvt. Ltd in Jhagadia/Thane is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager - Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and project execution from concept to commissioning. You will manage specifications, vendor coordination, and safety compliance across HT/LT systems and substations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in chemical manufacturing with strong stakeholder management and travel between Jhagadia and Thane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in chemical/industrial projects.
• Experience with HT/LT systems, substations, and switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities throughout project lifecycles from conceptual design through commissioning and handover.
• Develop and review electrical deliverables including SLDs, load lists, cable schedules, and routing.
• Review and approve electrical equipment specifications and datasheets.
• Ensure compliance with Indian and international standards and local statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, process, and automation engineers.
• Monitor progress and identify technical and execution risks.
• Support planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Prepare technical specifications and conduct vendor assessments.
• Review vendor drawings, documents, and manufacturing details.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Supervise testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure safe energization and startup of electrical systems.
• Support troubleshooting during project execution.
• Promote safety culture and EHS compliance.
• Ensure documentation and project records are maintained.
