Job summary

Evonik Catalysts India Pvt. Ltd. in Dombivli seeks a Manager/Senior Manager for AMC Production to oversee end-to-end catalyst production operations. You will ensure schedule adherence, QC compliance, safety standards, and smooth plant performance.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a skilled team, calibrate equipment, coordinate with R&D/QC/Store, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strict process controls and environmental safeguards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 12 years of experience in chemical industry.
• Hands-on responsibility for production operations, process optimization, safety compliance.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing plants is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan AMC production as per schedule received from sales department.
• Meet all requirements of QC during manufacturing & target Zero rejection.
• To strictly adhere to standard Operation procedure manual.
• Follow up equipment’s preventive schedule for smooth production and reduce machine breakdown.
• Calibration of equipment’s & instruments by internal & external agencies.
• Train production chemist in plant operation for quality output and work delegation.
• Co-ordinate with R&D/QC, Store/Dispatch department as and when required.
• Efficient team handling for maximum output and better result.
• Adhere and monitor that all required safety standards are followed in plant as per process requirement.
• Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Ensure plant pollution equipment are operational and emissions are as per prescribed standards.
• Identify training requirement and coordinate with ESH function/impart training.
• Participate and encourage participation in various ESH activities such as training, hazard identification, plant round etc.
• Prepare & discuss lesson learned documents with workforce post incidents.
• Carry periodic plant inspection to ensure adherence to ESH rules and regulations.
• Ensure Management of Change Procedure followed for required changes in the plant.
• Lead team in case of onsite emergencies in the area of working.
