Job summary

Megha Engineering And Infrastructure in Hyderabad is seeking a SCADA performance engineer to oversee real-time monitoring of utility-scale solar PV plants from a centralized ROC. You will drive performance analysis and optimize energy yield through data-driven actions.

You will collaborate with site O&M teams, SCADA OEMs, and support groups to maintain data integrity, reduce downtime, and deliver MIS reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Led SCADA-based performance monitoring and real-time surveillance of utility-scale solar PV plants through a centralized Remote Operation Centre (ROC).
• Analyzed plant performance using SCADA systems and monitoring platforms to maximize energy yield, plant availability, and operational efficiency.
• Monitored inverter, string, transformer, and grid parameters to identify performance deviations and initiate timely corrective actions.
• Conducted performance analysis by comparing actual generation with expected generation, identifying losses, and recommending improvement measures.
• Reviewed and validated Daily Generation Reports (DGRs), Monthly Generation Reports (MGRs), breakdown reports, and operational dashboards.
• Performed trend analysis and root cause analysis (RCA) to improve plant reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall system performance.
• Coordinated with site O&M teams, SCADA OEMs, and technical support teams to resolve operational issues and ensure uninterrupted monitoring.
• Managed incident tracking, ticket escalation, and issue resolution while ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Supervised preventive and corrective maintenance planning through CMMS and monitored maintenance execution to improve asset reliability.
• Verified SCADA communication, telemetry, and data integrity while resolving portal and data acquisition issues.
• Prepared MIS reports, KPI dashboards, performance summaries, and management presentations for internal and client stakeholders.
• Identified recurring operational issues and implemented data-driven initiatives to improve performance ratio (PR), energy generation, and operational efficiency.
• Supported asset management through performance forecasting, energy-loss analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Ensured compliance with operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements across all monitored assets
