Amrit Cement is seeking a seasoned Manager SAP S/4HANA to lead implementation, upgrade, and stabilization across the organization. You will coordinate with business users, implementation partners, and internal teams to translate requirements into SAP solutions, manage milestones, train users, and provide post‑go‑live support.

Key areas include data migration, testing, governance, and continuous process improvements to ensure a successful S/4HANA rollout and BAU stabilization.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of ERP/SAP implementation or support experience.
• Hands-on in at least one complete SAP S/4HANA implementation (End‑to‑End).
• Experience working with SAP implementation partners or consulting firms.
• Qualification - B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT), M.Tech, MCA; SAP Certification preferred.

Job Title Manager SAP S/4HANA

Purpose of the Role

To support the successful implementation, rollout, and stabilization of SAP S/4HANA across the organization by coordinating with business users, implementation partners, and internal teams. The role ensures business requirements are translated into SAP solutions, project milestones are achieved on time, users are trained, and post-go-live support is effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Process Mapping

• Take overall ownership of the SAP application landscape and act as the primary SAP point of contact for the organization.
• Manage day-to-day SAP incidents, problems, service requests, enhancements, and changes.
• Coordinate with SAP support partners, consultants, and internal IT/business teams for timely resolution of issues.
• Establish priorities for SAP incidents, enhancements, and change requests based on business impact.
• Monitor critical SAP processes and ensure business continuity.
• Identify recurring issues and drive root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain an SAP issue, risk, enhancement, and change backlog.
• Ensure SAP changes follow appropriate governance, testing, approval, and deployment processes.
• Continuously identify opportunities for SAP process and system improvements.

2. SAP S/4HANA upgrade program

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation/upgrade program.
• Act as the primary SAP lead between the business, internal IT, implementation partner, and other stakeholders.
• Support project planning, scope definition, resource planning, timelines, dependencies, and milestones.
• Coordinate SAP implementation partners and ensure deliverables meet agreed requirements, quality, and timelines.
• Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions.
• Prepare regular project status reports and management dashboards.
• Ensure appropriate governance and escalation of critical project issues.
• Support SAP Activate methodology and project governance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Ensure successful transition from project implementation to BAU support.

3. Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, HR, Logistics, and Plant teams.
• Resolve functional issues during implementation.
• Coordinate functional consultants and subject matter experts.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, solution reviews, and issue-resolution meetings.
• Ensure cross-module impacts are identified and managed.
• Provide functional leadership without necessarily requiring deep hands-on expertise in every SAP module.

4. Testing & Validation

• Prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Track defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Validate system functionality before Go-Live.

5. Data Migration & Data Quality

• Coordinate SAP master-data and transactional-data migration activities.
• Work with business teams to identify data owners and data-quality requirements.
• Coordinate data cleansing, validation, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
• Ensure legacy SAP data is appropriately assessed for migration, archival, reporting, or data-lake requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness prior to S/4HANA Go-Live.
• Establish appropriate data validation and reconciliation controls.

6. Change Management & Training

• Prepare user manuals and SOPs.
• Conduct end-user training sessions.
• Support change management initiatives.
• Ensure smooth user adoption of SAP S/4HANA.

7. Go-Live Support

• Support Go-Live planning and execution.
• Monitor critical business transactions.
• Coordinate issue resolution with SAP consultants.
• Ensure business continuity during rollout.

8. Post Go-Live Support

• Monitor system performance.
• Coordinate enhancement requests.
• Track incident resolution.
• Ensure continuous process improvement.

9. SAP Data Lake & Enterprise Data Integration

• Following completion of the S/4HANA program, support and coordinate the organization's Data Lake implementation, with SAP as a key source system.
• Define and coordinate requirements for integrating SAP S/4HANA data with the enterprise Data Lake.
• Support integration of historical/legacy SAP data and new S/4HANA data.
• Work with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and IT teams to define SAP data requirements.
• Identify relevant SAP tables, objects, master data, transactional data, and reporting requirements.
• Support mapping of SAP data structures to enterprise data models.
• Coordinate data extraction, transformation, integration, reconciliation, and validation requirements.
• Ensure historical SAP data remains accessible for reporting, analytics, audit, and business requirements.
• Support integration of data from other enterprise applications into the Data Lake.
• Work with technical teams on data lineage, data quality, metadata, and data-governance requirements.
• Help ensure consistency between SAP source data and downstream analytical/reporting platforms.
• Support future SAP and non-SAP data integration initiatives.

10. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with SAP implementation partners.
• Conduct regular project review meetings.
• Escalate project risks when required.
• Ensure timely closure of open issues.

11. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain project documentation.
• Prepare status reports and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and SAP implementation standards.

12. Team Management & Leadership

• Lead, manage, and develop the internal SAP team and/or SAP support resources.
• Define team responsibilities, roles, priorities, and objectives across SAP BAU support and project activities.
• Provide direction and guidance to SAP functional, technical, integration, and data resources.
• Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and service-level objectives for the SAP team.
• Conduct regular team reviews, performance discussions, and capability assessments.
• Identify skill gaps and develop training and knowledge-transfer plans to strengthen internal SAP capabilities.
• Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, cross-training, and reduction of dependency on individual consultants or vendors.
• Coordinate internal team members with external SAP implementation and support partners.
• Build a collaborative working relationship between SAP, business process owners, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, integration, data, and analytics teams.
• Manage team workload, priorities, escalations, and resource conflicts.
• Ensure adequate SAP coverage for critical business operations, Go-Live, hypercare, and major releases.
• Develop succession and backup plans for critical SAP roles and knowledge areas.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, service ownership, and customer focus.
