Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Salesforce Administration based in India.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce leader to oversee the day-to-day management and continued evolution of a complex enterprise Salesforce environment. You will combine people leadership with hands‑on platform ownership, ensuring reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability. The role spans Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, integrations, APIs, data quality, security, and release management. You will guide a team while remaining close to platform architecture, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational decisions. The position also provides an opportunity to evaluate emerging capabilities such as Agentforce and enterprise AI in a controlled and responsible way. You will collaborate with business, technology, security, data, and external implementation teams to maximize platform value while managing operational and security risks.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and develop the Salesforce team, establishing clear priorities, standards, responsibilities, and development plans while fostering ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for platform incidents, complex delivery decisions, stakeholder conflicts, and critical operational issues.
  • Manage team capacity, work allocation, skills development, recruitment support, and relationships with specialist technology partners.
  • Own the health, performance, security, and evolution of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce standards covering configuration, automation, data models, naming conventions, documentation, testing, technical debt, and platform architecture.
  • Remain hands‑on with complex Flow automation, permissions, validation rules, objects, Lightning pages, reports, dashboards, analytics, and platform troubleshooting.
  • Oversee user administration, joiner/mover/leaver processes, delegated administration, routine platform maintenance, and overall platform hygiene.
  • Configure and maintain Experience Cloud portals, including external sharing rules, guest‑user access, community settings, and partner‑ or customer‑facing experiences.
  • Maintain a strategic Salesforce roadmap balancing business priorities, security requirements, operational resilience, regulatory obligations, and platform demand.
  • Manage Salesforce lifecycle changes, including seasonal releases, feature adoption, deprecations, sandbox strategies, and environment management.
  • Evaluate and govern AppExchange packages based on business value, security, licensing, support requirements, and long‑term maintainability.
  • Own operational oversight of Salesforce integrations with Slack and other enterprise applications, ensuring reliable authentication, API usage, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Establish integration monitoring and alerting standards covering authentication failures, certificate and token expirations, API errors, rate limits, latency, message delivery, and unusual usage patterns.
  • Manage connected applications, OAuth scopes, named credentials, integration users, event‑driven services, and API consumption.
  • Lead incident response and problem management, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are completed.
  • Own the Salesforce security architecture, including organization‑wide defaults, role hierarchies, sharing rules, permission sets, permission‑set groups, and field‑level security.
  • Apply least‑privilege principles, segregation of duties, and regular access reviews to minimize excessive or outdated permissions.
  • Govern SSO, MFA, service accounts, integration users, delegated administration, and identity lifecycle processes in collaboration with IT and Security teams.
  • Support platform audits and compliance requirements, including SOC 2, GDPR, control evidence, and remediation of identified findings.
  • Manage Salesforce licensing, forecasting, utilization, certificate lifecycles, connected applications, OAuth credentials, and associated costs.
  • Own delivery backlogs and release processes, ensuring clear requirements, acceptance criteria, source control, peer review, testing, rollback planning, and traceable production changes.
  • Manage version‑controlled Salesforce releases through GitHub, including branch strategies, pull requests, peer approvals, and documented change histories.
  • Promote high‑quality Salesforce data through validation, duplicate management, reconciliation, ownership controls, and proactive remediation.
  • Provide platform insight through dashboards and reporting covering adoption, automation failures, API consumption, incidents, access risk, release quality, and technical debt.
  • Evaluate and support responsible adoption of Agentforce, Salesforce AI capabilities, and related enterprise AI tools, with appropriate data controls, testing, monitoring, human oversight, and governance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Security, Enterprise Architecture, IT Operations, Data, Integration teams, and external implementation partners.
Requirements:

  • Proven Salesforce DevOps and change‑management experience using GitHub, including version‑controlled deployment workflows, pull requests, peer review, and release governance.
  • Experience operating API‑led integrations, including monitoring, authentication, limits, troubleshooting, failure handling, and coordination across technical teams.
  • Experience managing SSL and authentication certificates and maintaining integration health.
  • Strong declarative Salesforce development capabilities, particularly Flow, data modeling, validation, Lightning configuration, reporting, and environment management.
  • Strong understanding of sandbox strategies, source control, testing, deployment governance, release management, and production support.
  • Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate business priorities and user needs into practical technical solutions while balancing risk and platform constraints.
  • Strong solution‑design and architecture judgment, with a solid understanding of enterprise Salesforce architecture and data modeling.
  • Experience with Salesforce AI, Agentforce, agent design, grounding, guardrails, evaluation, or operational monitoring is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Claude or comparable technologies is beneficial, particularly in governed and data‑sensitive workflows.
  • Experience with Slack platform capabilities and APIs, including enterprise applications, workflows, authentication, integrations, and observability, is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Okta or a comparable enterprise identity provider is advantageous.
  • Exposure to platforms such as NetSuite, MuleSoft, Celigo, Boomi, Workato, Zapier, or enterprise data platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or high‑growth environments supporting complex B2B sales and customer‑service processes is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and accountable during incidents and complex platform decisions.
Benefits:
  • Opportunity to lead the administration and strategic evolution of a business‑critical Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Hands‑on leadership role combining team management, platform ownership, architecture, security, and delivery.
