Job summary

Global Green Company Limited is seeking a Quality & Food Safety Leader to implement and maintain QFS systems across the plant. You will lead internal and external audits, drive RCA and CAPA, and manage supplier quality and traceability to ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, GLP and HACCP.

Key responsibilities include handling customer complaints, regulatory inspections, and sustaining a strong Food Safety Culture through training and cross-functional collaboration.

Job description

The role will be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of Quality & Food Safety Management Systems, compliance with GFSI, IFS, BRCGS, customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in quality and food safety performance.

The position will also lead audits, customer complaint management, vendor quality, traceability, food safety culture, team development and cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistent product quality, food safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain Quality & Food Safety Management Systems across the manufacturing/processing unit.

Establish and monitor sampling and inspection plans for incoming ingredients and packaging materials.

Ensure materials received from approved suppliers comply with defined specifications and food safety requirements.

Manage COA verification, incoming inspection, testing, quarantine, rejection, release and traceability processes.

Investigate quality and food safety deviations and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA and preventive actions.

Lead IFS, BRCGS/GFSI certification audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections and customer visits.

Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, GLP, HACCP, Food Defence and Food Fraud requirements.

Handle customer complaints and coordinate cross-functional investigations and corrective actions.

Conduct and support vendor qualification, evaluation and audits, including corrective action follow-up.

Ensure compliance with Kosher and Halal requirements and maintain relevant documentation.

Conduct traceability and mock recall exercises and maintain required records.

Monitor warehouse/store practices including FIFO/FEFO, hygiene, identification and traceability.

Prepare and review specifications for ingredients and packaging materials.

Evaluate new materials and vendors and monitor supplier quality performance.

Drive reduction of material, packaging and in-process quality losses.

Drive reduction in customer complaints, particularly pest and foreign matter incidents.

Conduct Quality & Food Safety training covering GMP, GHP, GLP, HACCP and related requirements.

Promote and strengthen Food Safety Culture through awareness programs and employee engagement initiatives.

Lead, develop and motivate the QFS team through training, performance monitoring and capability development.

Maintain statutory and regulatory records in compliance with applicable requirements.

Collaborate with Agri, Production, Stores, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Maintenance, Sales and Logistics teams.

Key Performance Areas

Successful completion of 3rd-party, 2nd-party, customer and regulatory audits.

Improvement in IFS/BRCGS audit scores and reduction of non-conformities.

Reduction in losses due to raw material, packaging and in-process defects.

Reduction in customer complaints, particularly pest and foreign matter complaints.
