Job summary

Llm Appliances is seeking a seasoned Quality professional in Chennai to lead supplier quality, inhouse quality, and customer quality initiatives. The role focuses on reducing rework and rejections through root cause analysis, supplier audits, and robust QMS practices.

The ideal candidate holds a BE (Mechanical) with 10 years of experience in light engineering manufacturing and a proven ability to drive corrective and preventive actions across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10 years of experience in manufacturing of light engineering products with strong QMS background.
• Good knowledge of reducing rework and rejection in a manufacturing setup.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier rejections and inhouse rejections due to supplier parts and take necessary action.
• Analyze rejections with suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct supplier process and system audits at regular intervals.
• Ensure incoming inspection, first half approval, line inspection, and reduce reworking and rejection costs.
• Implement and maintain QMS line ISO and apply Poka Yoke methods.

Job Description (Deliveries/ Role of the position) :

Supplier Quality -

• Monitoring of supplier rejections & inhouse rejections due to supplier part and taking necessary action.
• Work with the supplier to analyze the rejections and find out the root cause. Ensure implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct Supplier Process and System Audits at regular intervals.
• Continuously educate suppliers on SOP and customer specific requirements.

Inhouse Quality

• >> Incoming inspection and report preparation
• >> Ensuring First half approval
• >> Ensuring line inspection and reducing reworking cost, rejection cost
• >> Drawing study and interpretation of drawings
• >> Implementation and maintenance of QMS line ISO,
• >> Critical Process identification, Creating Mistake proofing methods (Poka Yoke)

Customer Quality

• Ensuring packing and despatch quality by regular inspection and reducing customer compline
• Handling customer Compline effectively
