Job summary

Parle Agro Pvt Ltd in Mumbai is seeking a Procurement professional to plan purchases based on sales forecasts and BOM, review weekly raw material status across plants and identify stock variations, and negotiate best prices for commodities such as sugar and fruit pulp.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of packaging materials procurement (straws, cans, tetra) and the capacity to coordinate with multiple plant managers, work under pressure, and drive supplier development while

Qualifications

• Packaging materials knowledge including straws and cans.
• Ability to handle procurement requirements of multiple plants under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work out Procurement Plan based on the sales forecast & BOM.
• Review of raw material status on a weekly basis from all the plants and alert plants on any variations in stocks.
• Exploring saving potentials to move in market place to find best prices, esp. for commodities viz. Sugar, Fruit Pulp, Juices.
• Develop Packaging material by coordinating with Corrugation Box, Tray, Sleeve, Closure manufacturers as per marketing needs.
• Consolidating tender prices and tracking tender release dates.
• Prepare Purchase orders, inform accounts for RTGS and other formalities where applicable.
• Ensuring the integrity of the packaging material and updating changes in technical specifications.
• Quarterly review of rates for key Packaging material.
• Meet vendors and develop new and better vendors while retaining the existing vendors.
• Final negotiations with all vendors to work out the best rates.
• Streamlining SAP processes and ensuring its smooth functioning.
• Ensuring minimum variance of packaging material at all locations.
• Centralized negotiation of rates for Chemicals, Plant Consumables & to conduct reverse auction of scraps for plants.

b. aRole & responsibilities

1. Work out Procurement Plan based on the sales forecast & BOM
2. Review of raw material status on a weekly basis from all the plants and alert plants on any variations in stocks
3. Exploring saving potentials, through various options, to move in market place to find the best prices, especially for commodities viz. Sugar, Fruit Pulp, Juices etc
4. Develop Packaging material by co-ordinating with Corrugation Box, Tray, Sleeve, Closure manufacturers etc as per marketing needs
5. Consolidating tender prices on regular basis and have tab on tender release dates

6. Prepare Purchase orders, inform accounts for execution of RTGS and other formalities where applicable.

7. Ensuring the integrity of the packaging material and updating changes in technical specifications if any

8. Quarterly review of the rates for key Packaging material

9.Meeting vendors and developing new and better vendors while retaining the existing vendors.

Preferred candidate profile

a. Having Good knowledge of packaging materials Purchase - Straws, Cans Terta, Packaging materials.

b.Capacity to work with manager procurement requirements of multiple plants and work under pressure.
