Giesecke+Devrient India is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee end-to-end P2P processes for direct and indirect purchases. The role requires 12–14 years of procurement experience, GST knowledge, and SAP proficiency. Location is Chennai, with a focus on cost optimization, supplier development, and KPI-driven performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Procure to Pay (P2P) for direct and indirect purchases.
• Carry out global sourcing and supplier management across regions.
• Coordinate with SCM planning and ensure on-time supplier delivery.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation and contract/ SLA terms.
• Support tender processes with competitive supplier offers.
• Ensure adherence to purchasing guidelines and P2P compliance.
• Provide MIS reports to Purchase Dept. and drive performance.

Objective Of This Role: (Brief description of the role, why are we hiring, and what will person in this role do)

This position will partner closely with MS India cross functional team and global/regional purchasing function. Primary responsibility is to ensure MS India external purchases are strategically sourced & negotiated for the best fit of delivery and cost benefits. Other responsibility will include ensuring purchasing guidelines and policies are adhere for all purchases. The candidate must be detail oriented, analytical, organized, objective and successfully implement Value Engineering projects with minimum supervision.

Tasks & Responsibilities: (Major task and role person will have to perform – list all the relevant points)

• Manage Operation Purchasing, overall Procure to Pay (P2P) tasks and activities including direct and indirect purchase
• Should have worked in Global Sourcing, overall Procure to Pay (PTP) tasks and activities including direct and indirect purchases.
• Support SCM Planning and follow-up with internal and external supplier delivery fulfilment and manage end to end purchase cycle
• Should work closely with vendors and initiate Productivity Improvement projects to improve QCD Matrix.
• Formulate Strategic Planning, aligning strategies of supply to the objectives of the business
• Execute company purchasing policy and procedures to ensure P2P compliance
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation & should have on-hands knowledge of local suppliers
• Support sale tender by providing competitive supplier offer
• Work together with QM and relevant function on supplier qualification, management, evaluation and development according to purchasing procedures
• Provide report and data analysis (MIS) for the Purchase Dept.
• Responsible for cross function cooperation and communication to resolve problem effectively
• Fulfill other tasks assigned by management

Education & Trainings:

• Engineering Graduate
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Word

Technical knowhow: (Mention the technology on which person must be experienced)

• Mandatory:
  • 12-14 yrs working experience, of which min. 10 yrs in Procurement Management
  • Familiar with subcontracting and India cross region supplier management
  • Vendor development and Sourcing including NPD
  • Taxation (GST) and Logistics knowledge
  • Planning and Inventory management knowledge
  • Good negotiation and knowledge of TCO
  • Effective KPI report management to drive performance
  • Able to work independently or as a team worker
• Good to know:
  • Knowledge in developing & negotiating contractual or SLA terms with vendors
  • Experience and knowledge to operate SAP
  • Experience and knowledge in Smartcard industry
  • Import and Export rules and regulations
