Job summary

Mondelez India Foods Private Limited is seeking a Plant Engineering Lead to drive the engineering function at the Sricity site, delivering capital projects and productivity initiatives while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

You will lead the engineering team, manage budgets, and collaborate across functions to implement world-class processes and equipment strategies that optimize resources and asset performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• Experience leading capital projects and program management.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the capital and technical agenda during development of mid to large capital investments.

How you will contribute

Working with key stakeholders, you will define and deliver the capital and technical agenda during the development phase of mid to large capital investment projects so that accurate budgets, plans and fit-for-purpose technical solutions are provided. You will develop the capital budget according to the contract and forecast cash flow. In addition, you will ensure that engineering developments and standards are implemented and develop and implement state-of-the-art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and rollout best practices. You are responsible for managing several capital project executions in parallel and accountable that the quality and the results of capital projects meet Mondelēz standards in business and innovation processes in project management. You manage engineering resources and people management and development needs.

The Plant Engineering Lead is responsible for leading the engineering function at the Mondelez Sricity. This role ensures the timely delivery of Growth (NPD's, Debottlenecking & Capacity Project) in Chocolate category along with productivity and plant infrastructure projects, meet regulatory, quality and safety compliance standards.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline

Job specific requirements:

Engineering Leadership

Lead the site engineering team, setting priorities, driving the project management through IIM ways of working. Build and sustain a high-performing, engaged engineering team through coaching, development planning, and performance management. Establish IIM work processes, and governance frameworks for the site.

Capital Projects & Infrastructure

Plan, direct, and execute capital projects - including layouts, detailed designs, specifications, and cost estimates - aligned with the site master plan. Manage engineering budget, track capital expenditure, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Drive system integration and manage interfaces across engineering teams, product organisations, external partners, and suppliers.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, GMP, food safety, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements at all times. Collaborate with quality and food safety teams on hygienic design standards implementation. Lead engineering responses to audits, incidents, and non-conformances; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
