Job summary

GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Costing & Budgeting professional to manage half-yearly and yearly cost records, capex budgeting, and asset capitalization. The role involves coordinating with cost auditors, preparing MIS for Board PPTs, and ensuring timely terminal-wise costing with variance analyses.

Candidate should have ACMA/CA with 7–12 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial controls within a large organization.

Qualifications

• ACMA/CA qualification with 7–12 years of experience in cost accounting and budgeting.
• Experience in Capex budgeting, cost accounting controls, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Half-Yearly and Yearly Cost Records and coordinate with cost auditor.
• Prepare quarterly utility certificates and annual Capex budgeting reports.
• Prepare Capex MIS for Board presentations and monitor capitalization.
• Fixed Asset tagging and CWIP capitalization follow-up.
• Prepare half-yearly and yearly terminal-wise costing with variance analysis.

Job description

Maintain the cost record half yearly and yearly basis and ensure to complete annual cost audit. Prepare half yearly and yearly terminal wise costing. Prepare quarterly utility certificate duly signed by cost auditor. Yearly Capex Budgeting and its monitoring. (wbs creation/budget transfer/budget supplement act). Prepare monthly and quarterly capex MIS for Board PPT. Provisional GST Capitalization in Quarterly basis. CWIP Status update and coordinate with department for capitalization. Fixed Asset Tagging on a half yearly basis.

Accountabilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Maintain Half-Yearly and Yearly Cost Records

• Prepare Half-Yearly and Annually cost records.
• Ensure that the Cost records are submitted to cost auditor with require details on a half yearly and Yearly basis.
• Prepare a Board presentation on Cost accounts.
• Timeliness and accuracy

Annual Cost Audit

• Co-ordinate with cost auditor to ensure completion of the cost audit, check the cost auditor report in detail and ensure correctness from all aspects.
• Coordinate with company Secretary for filling in MCA.
• Resolve the Cost Auditor Quarries while interacting with various departments and checking internal data.
• Zero audit observations, timely completion

Quarterly Utility Certificate

• Preparing and Obtaining the Cost Certificate for Electricity/Water from Independent Auditor on a Quarterly basis.
• Zero audit observations, timely completion

Capex Management-

• Prepare and update annually Capex Budget through WBS creation.
• Monitor and control the capex through budget supplement/budget transfer etc.
• Monthly and Quarterly Capex MIS for Bord PPT.
• Quarterly GST Capitalization.
• Budget Adherence, variance control, timely updates

Fixed Assets & CWIP

• Follow-up for Capitalization.
• Fixed Asset Tagging on Half yearly basis.
• Resolve the FAR related departmental quarries.
• CWIP aging reduction, timely capitalization

Prepare Half-Yearly and Yearly Terminal wise Costing

• Half yearly and Annually preparation of Terminal-wise costing.
• Cost allocation to terminals based on certain Cost Drivers like Electricity and Water based on the actual consumption, Manpower based on the Headcount, R&M based on the actual place where it was carried out.
• Variance of Terminal wise cost with previous quarter and previous year and submit detailed variance analysis report.
• Timeliness and accuracy

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Cost Auditors- Need to coordinate with the cost auditor for cost audit and utility certificate purpose.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Various internal department- Need to co-ordinate with all the internal department for capitalization follow up and fixed asset tagging purpose.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

• Handling Capex Budget for more than 1000 crore annually.
• Preparing costing record with more than 5000 crore revenue annually.

Other Dimensions

• Handled one JM for FAR.
