Job summary

Talent Analytica invites an experienced Chemical Engineering professional to lead polymer manufacturing operations, aligning production with time and quantity targets while ensuring safe plant operation.

Role includes RM planning, inventory control, and timely dispatches, plus implementing 5S, TQM and IMS, and conducting process FMEA to reduce breakdowns, with 11–14 years of polymerization exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 11–14 years polymer manufacturing experience, especially exposure to polymerization.
• Experience in polymerization processes and handling of polymer manufacturing.
• Strong background in safety, EHS systems implementation and compliance.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• RM planning, inventory control and on-time dispatches of product.
• Operate the plant in accordance with standard SOPs.
• Troubleshoot process problems and implement fixes.
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions to meet budget norms.
• Ensure safe operation of the plant and robust safety systems.
• Ensure PPE availability and proper usage.
• Perform FMEA and PSP to reduce breakdowns and costs.
• Implement 5S, TQM and IMS; prepare manuals and SOPs.

Job description

Production as per time and quantity targets

• RM Planning, Inventory control and timely dispatches of product.
• Operation of the plant in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Trouble shooting of process problems
• To identify and analyse the gaps & to take corrective actions to meet Budget norms

Safe operation of the plant

• Creation of robust safety systems for all operation and ensuring that non-conformances are analyzed & corrective actions are implemented
• Ensure PPE's are available and used in accordance with best safety practices
• To prevent accidents and near misses. They are analyzed to arrive at the root cause & actions are implemented to prevent recurrences.
• Conduct process FMEA to reduce breakdown and severity of process.
• Coordinate EHS meeting to identify and resolve safety related issue.

Improve the I/O norm of RM & utilities as to reduce cost& increase the profit margin and market share

• To identify and analyze the gaps & to take corrective actions to meet Budget norms.
• Improve I/O norms through Problem Solving Process (PSP)

Ensuring EHS compliance in process operation

• Identification of hazards, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, implementation of corrections & protection measures.
• Standardize practices through SOPs and Work instructions.

Reduce customer complaints

• Address customer complaints by deep analysis and take corrective & preventive action

Implementation of 5S, TQM and IMS

• Preparation of Plant operating manual, SOPs, WI, Checklist, & formats for the plant
• Implement 5S & Kaizen system in the plant

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Candidate must be a B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 11-14 years of experience in Polymer Manufacturing plant with main exposure to Polymerization.
