Manager, Product Quality Sustainalytics, a Morningstar Company
Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai
The Manager, Product Quality is responsible for driving the quality, integrity, and continuous improvement of Sustainalytics' ESG products throughout the product lifecycle. As part of the Quality & Transformation (Q&T) organization, this role partners with Product Management, Research, Technology, Data Operations, and Client Services to establish quality governance, monitor product performance, identify risks, and drive continuous quality improvements. The role focuses on embedding Quality by Design, establishing quality frameworks, defining Product Quality KPIs, and ensuring products consistently meet client expectations for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, consistency, and reliability. Please note: This is not a software product management or product operations role.
Product Quality & Governance Own the Product Quality framework for one or more ESG products. Establish and enhance quality governance, standards, controls, and operating procedures across the product lifecycle. Define, monitor, and report Product Quality KPIs, dashboards, and quality scorecards. Ensure quality responsibilities and governance are clearly defined across stakeholder teams. Quality Assurance & Product Performance Conduct independent quality reviews and validate new product features, releases, and methodologies. Develop risk-based quality assurance plans and perform post-release quality assessments. Partner with Technology and Data teams to assess and implement AI-enabled quality controls, validation capabilities, and workflow automation across the product lifecycle. Monitor product performance using quality metrics, client feedback, and operational insights. Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and client experience. Promote automation and data-driven quality monitoring to strengthen preventive quality management. Cross-functional Collaboration & Transformation Partner with Product Management, Research, Technology, Data Operations, Methodology, and Client Services to embed quality across the product lifecycle. Support product development by defining quality requirements, testing strategies, and release readiness. Manage cross-product dependencies, quality documentation, and governance. Lead initiatives to standardize quality processes, strengthen the Product Quality operating model, and drive continuous improvement.
7-10 years of experience in Product Quality, Quality Assurance, Product Operations, Product Delivery, or Product Governance. Experience working with financial data, ESG products, or other complex data-driven solutions. Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, quality assurance, governance, and process improvement. Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with Product, Research, Technology, and Operations teams. Experience with data quality management, KPI reporting, and quality analytics is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or a Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of ESG research or sustainable investing is an advantage.
