Job summary

Morningstar India Private Ltd. seeks a self-motivated Associate Content Researcher to join the Mumbai Managed Investment Data team. You will work with Data Strategy, Tech, and Global MID operations to implement new data, changes, and interface enhancements to drive operation excellence.

This role is based in the Mumbai office and follows a hybrid work arrangement. The position involves designing new data collection processes, building tools, and providing data quality insights.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in business/data analysis, preferably within capital markets, wealth management, or asset management domains.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, or business with an exceptional academic record.
• Understanding of Database Structure and Design.
• Experience with SQL.
• Basic programming, Python and database skills is preferred.
• Experience with AI tools is a plus.
• Strong quantitative and business analysis skills.
• Excellent English verbal/presentation/written communication skills.
• Profound understanding of Fund data, data systems and backend logic.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret business requirements to propose actionable data and process solutions.
• Use data mining to surface data issues and support data strategy decision-making.
• Design new data flow and user interface, build back-end logic to ensure data accuracy.
• Provide solutions and consultation for data processing improvement from an overall data perspective.

• Conduct feasibility and impact analyses to evaluate data solution feasibility and impact.
• Communicate with stakeholders about potential impacts or risks and outline risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure proper implementation and documentation.
• Maintain database backend knowledge and create readable documentation.

Team

As an essential part of Morningstar Global MID Organization, Data Content Research Team is responsible for data process solution analysis and impact analysis for new data or data changes, business rule management, and data collection platform change request review and sign off. The team would collaborate with different data function teams on key data initiatives, and continue drive operation excellence.

Role

Morningstar seeks a self-motivated Associate Content Researcher to join Mumbai Managed Investment Data team. In this role, you will work with Data Strategy team, Tech team and Global MID operations team to implement new data, data changes, business rule enhancement and interface enhancements to drive operation excellence. You will be a key contributor to design new data collection process flow and user interface, build creative tool and provide insight for data enhancement and you would also play a key role as the data escalation point. Your exposure to global teams will allow you to have a solid foundation for your career. This position is based in Mumbai office.

Requirements
