Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited (formerly Idea Cellular Limited), part of an Aditya Birla Group & Vodafone partnership, seeks a Manager in Procurement within the Commercial function. The role focuses on procurement of Opex-related products and services, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting at cluster level, and developing a local supply base to drive costs synergies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete local procurement for the cluster, driving efficiencies and faster service to internal customers.
• Manage supply chain planning including PO acceptance, delivery follow up, and alignment with cluster priorities.
• Ensure timely renewal of rate contracts and vendor agreements; update SAP Ariba contracts for compliance and payments.
• Coordinate with users/vendors to obtain required materials (SIM, posters, banners) within budgets.
• Negotiate using RFQ/RFP, e-bidding and cost analyses to derive best deals.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for Procurement of Opex (Marketing, CS, Retail, Admin) related products and services

Responsible for supplier selection, negotiation finalization and contracting at cluster level in close coordination with multiple stakeholders within cluster

The Cluster Procurement team member need to work closely with users / vendors for delivering the required material (SIM, POSM, marketing items, etc.), goods and services on time and within agreed budgets.

The role would also focus upon new initiatives leading to enhance procurement efficiencies and will ultimately result in costs synergies in the cluster. Also develop local supply base at an optimum level

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• This person will be handling the complete local procurement for the cluster, enhance procurement efficiencies and service the internal customers much faster
• The position is responsible for leading the supply chain planning (PO acceptance, approval, Delivery follow up, supporting cluster priorities)
• Ensure timely extension and renewal of rate contracts & vendor agreements. Updating & Uploading the Non network vendor contracts in SAP Ariba portal to ensure contract compliance and smooth payment to Non PO based vendors as per VIL payment process
• Handling various Non Network related Procurement activities, Retail store repair & maintenance work requirements.
• Procurement of SIM cards, SIM jackets, Posters, Banners

etc as required to meet non network procurement requirements, managing SIM Inventory in cluster

• Preparation of cluster related local RFP’s quotation and competitive bids with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions and negotiate the best deal and bring value to the business.
• Responsible for supplier selection, negotiation finalization and contracting in close coordination with multiple stakeholders within clusters
• Weekly review with non-network stakeholders on various commercial open SLAs and parameters, carrying out discussions with stake holders on OPEN PR / PO & Inventory related parameters to ensure compliance to VIL BSC parameters
• Finalization of SOW / Specifications
• Negotiation by using various tools like RFQ/RFP, E-Bidding & costing
• NFA approval and Contract finalization
• ARIBA Contract management
• Inventory management to keep optimum levels of inventories
• Ensure 100% compliance to HSW for suppliers, compliance to DoA and SCM process to ensure no non-compliance to Audits
• Monthly BSC monitoring and KPI assurance

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• Strong knowledge of Sourcing and understanding of Supply Chain management
• Ability to manage multiple senior stake holders/Vertical Heads in the organization
• Excellent coordination skills and ability to deal with strategic partners and local vendors
• Strong knowledge of products related to telecom domains
• Good communication, presentation, excel skills, MIS, and experience on ERP

Technical / professional qualifications

• BE/MBA
• Background in Sourcing and Supply Chain
• Working knowledge of SAP, S4HANA, ARIBA is preferred
