Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of dedicated experience in Railways Procurement or large-scale railway projects.
• Strong technical understanding of structural steel engineering items and specialized overhead/underground power conductors.
• Deep knowledge of Price Variation Clauses (PVC) to mitigate price risks.
• Expertise in SAP MM module for procurement and vendor evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement of specialized civil structures and structural steel girders.
• Manage sourcing contracts for copper, aluminum, and steel conductors.
• Apply knowledge of Price Variation Clauses to mitigate price risks.
• Execute daily procurement tasks in SAP MM module.
• Identify, onboard, and evaluate vendors and contractors per specs.
• Maintain procurement trackers and cost sheets for exec reports.
• Ensure workflows comply with statutory guidelines and Railways norms.
• Bring about 10 years of Railways procurement experience.
• Demonstrate technical understanding of structural steel items and conductors.
• Utilize SAP MM capability and MS Office for reporting.

• Strategic Sourcing: Lead the procurement of specialized civil structures, focusing on all types of structural steel girders (e.g., plate, box, composite).
• Electrical Material Procurement: Manage sourcing contracts for critical power transmission materials including copper, aluminum, and steel conductors.
• Contract Management: Apply deep understanding of Price Variation Clauses (PVC) to mitigate financial risks caused by commodity price fluctuations.
• ERP Operations: Execute daily procurement tasks, purchase requisitions, and vendor evaluations smoothly within the SAP MM Module.
• Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and evaluate specialized vendors and contractors’ compliance with stringent technical specifications.
• Data & Reporting: Maintain highly organized procurement trackers, cost sheets, and executive presentations using MS Office applications.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure all procurement workflows strictly align with established statutory guidelines and Railways Procurement norms
• Industry Experience: Approximately 10 years of dedicated experience working directly within Railways Procurement or large-scale railway infrastructure projects.
• Technical Expertise: Exceptional technical understanding of structural steel engineering items and specialized overhead/underground power conductors.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on operational capability in the SAP MM (Materials Management) module.
• Analytical Tools: High proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel for data modeling and PowerPoint for corporate reporting.
• Financial Acumen: Strong capability to calculate, implement, and track complex index-based Price Variation Clauses.
