Job summary

Vikram Solar Ltd. in Kolkata is seeking a procurement professional to lead sourcing for solar materials, manage supplier base, and align with production.

The role requires PGDM, strong negotiation, cross-functional coordination, and ability to implement cost-saving initiatives; you will work with domestic and international suppliers.

On-site position at 1865, The Chamber, Kolkata, offering exposure to renewable energy procurement and compliance processes.

Qualifications

• PGDM degree required.
• Experience in procurement and materials for solar components preferred.
• Strong knowledge of import/export compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key raw materials (solar cells, glass, EVA, Backsheet, junction boxes, etc.).
• Forecast material requirements in coordination with production and planning teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers (domestic & international).
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and delivery.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure import/export regulations, customs duties, and relevant certifications.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and performance reports.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Work with production, planning, finance, and QA/QC; support NPI and BOM updates.
