Job summary

Henkel Ltda in Kurkumbh, Maharashtra, India, seeks a Senior Process Safety Leader to drive Process Safety Management (PSM) across multiple plants and embed a robust process safety culture.

You will lead HAZOP, PHA and LOPA studies, manage MoC processes, support investigations and audits, and coach site teams to ensure compliance with Henkel safety standards. Requires 8+ years in chemical engineering and CCPS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of industry experience in process safety.
• Last 1–2 years in leading a plant/site for process safety.
• Strong knowledge of HAZOP, PHA, LOPA.
• CCPS certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Safety Management activities across Kurkumbh site.
• Facilitate hazard analyses including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, and FMEA.
• Identify high-risk processes and drive mitigation plans through collaboration with operations, engineering, and project teams.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific process safety systems and procedures.
• Manage Process Safety KPI reporting, trend analysis, and improvement initiatives.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Drive Management of Change (MoC) processes and ensure process safety considerations are integrated into project design and execution.
• Lead process safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Coach, train, and influence site teams to strengthen process safety awareness and culture.
• Partner with business leaders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and Henkel Process Safety requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, facilitating risk assessments, ensuring compliance with global and local safety standards, and embedding a strong process safety culture across multiple manufacturing plants. Working closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, and project teams, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating process risks while supporting business growth and operational excellence.

• Must have strong skills in HAZOP, PHA, LOPA - and be capable of leading the same for the site.
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence, train and coach the teams including shopfloor teams
• Advanced certifications like CCPS Process safety professional certification is highly desirable.
• Preferred industries - Specialty chemicals, Oil and Gas.
