Job summary

Crisil is seeking a researcher/analyst to focus on the clean energy and policy domain. The role requires rigorous analysis, credible sourcing, and clear reporting. Consultancy background is a plus and written and verbal communication must be strong.

The candidate will conduct energy research, data analysis, and policy evaluation with emphasis on structured insights and stakeholder-ready deliverables. Knowledge of data tools like Excel/Sheets is beneficial.

Experience in the clean energy / power domain, consultancy background a plus

• Experience conducting clean energy research (academic, consulting, industry research, or equivalent) or working in the clean energy domain.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured analysis and translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Strong analytical skills, including comfort working with quantitative concepts (e.g., trends, baseline calculations, interpreting results).
• Proficiency in data handling and documentation (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with basic data analysis is beneficial).
• Strong command of research and information evaluation methods (source credibility, triangulation, and documentation).
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

Add ons:

• Experience with policy analysis (e.g., carbon pricing, renewable standards, permitting frameworks, industrial decarbonization incentives).
