Job summary

Sterlite Power in India is seeking an engineer to design transmission tower profiles using PLS-CADD, to optimize BOQ and perform tower spotting and sag calculations.

You will determine ROW requirements, develop transmission line plan and profile drawings, integrate PLS-CADD with ArcGIS, and prepare cost estimates, schedules, and technical specifications for lines across various KV ranges while exploring new design technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design tower profiles using PLS-CADD to optimize BOQ.
• Perform tower spotting and conductor sag calculations.
• Determine Right of Way (ROW) requirements.
• Develop transmission line plan & profile drawings.
• Integrate PLS-CADD with ArcGIS.
• Develop cost estimates, project schedules, and technical specifications for transmission lines across various kV ranges.
• Explore emerging technologies and trends for transmission line design optimization.
