Job summary

Saur Energy International in India is seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer with hands-on experience in transmission tower modelling, structural design, engineering calculations, and project coordination. The candidate will work on tower design and related activities across tenders and projects.

The role requires proficiency with PLS-TOWER, knowledge of IS/IEC standards, and ability to coordinate with clients and internal teams to deliver design deliverables on schedule.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Transmission Line / Tower Design.
• Hands-on experience with PLS-TOWER is mandatory/preferred.
• Good knowledge of transmission tower structural design and analysis.
• Knowledge of tower extensions, modifications, special towers, and tower weight calculations.
• Exposure to CPRI approvals and transmission line engineering will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze 3D transmission tower models using PLS-TOWER.
• Perform tower extension, tower modification, and special tower design activities.
• Prepare tower weight calculations for tenders and engineering projects.
• Prepare and review technical engineering deliverables related to transmission lines.
• Support transmission tower foundation design and project-specific structural requirements.
• Coordinate with clients for technical clarifications, design submissions, and approvals.
• Support CPRI approval activities for Gantry Cum Tower projects.
• Review design inputs, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, client specifications, and project requirements.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during the design and execution stages.
