Job summary

Lancesoft in Mumbai, India, seeks a Manager Operations, Automation Specialist to lead process improvement and automation across the operations value chain. You will design, test, and deploy scalable automated solutions using Power Platform, Alteryx, Python, and API integrations.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, define success metrics, ensure governance and data quality, and mentor junior analysts while driving change management and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities across value streams; translate needs into scopes and outcomes

Job Title: Manager Operations, Automation Specialist

Department: Operations

Location: Mumbai, India (Hybrid work option)

Job Purpose:

The Manager Operations, Process Improvement & Automation identifies opportunities to optimize processes across the operations value chain and independently designs, develops, tests, and deploys automated and data-driven solutions. Leverage Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Python, API integrations, and other low-code/no-code tools to deliver scalable business outcomes with minimal supervision. Drive continuous improvement, governance, and knowledge sharing across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and prioritize process improvement opportunities across operational value streams; translate business needs into clear project scopes and measurable outcomes.
• Build, test, and deploy automated workflows, data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics assets; ensure scalability, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Design and implement API integrations to connect systems, extract data, automate due diligence workflows, and enable efficient data exchange with platforms.
• Independently design and develop end-to-end solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Alteryx Designer, Python scripting, and other low-code/no-code tools.
• Explore and apply AI-enabled automation solutions to improve process efficiency, data handling, and operational decision-making
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements, create functional specifications, and define success metrics; maintain strong stakeholder engagement and transparency.
• Create and maintain documentation including design specs, test plans, runbooks, user guides, and deployment checklists.
• Manage project lifecycle from ideation through ROI realization; monitor benefits, track risks, and adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and regulatory/compliance requirements are met; promote best practices in data handling and automation.
• Mentor and coach junior analysts; promote knowledge sharing, reusable components, and standardized methodologies.
• Lead change management activities, including user adoption, training, and communications to drive sustained impact.
• Stay current with emerging automation and analytics technologies; evaluate and pilot new tools as appropriate.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in operations, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field (masters preferred).
• 6+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, and/or automation; prior experience in a managerial or lead role is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable process improvements and automation projects in complex environments.

Technical Skills:

• Experience in API integration and automation, including working with modern and legacy interfaces, secure authentication methods, and structured data formats such as JSON and XML
• Strong understanding of API-driven automation, data integration, ETL/ELT workflows, and version control using Git.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and the ability to build end-to-end solutions.
• Ability to use AI for building intelligent automations, workflow enhancements, and process optimization.
• Strong expertise in Alteryx Designer for data blending, cleansing, and workflow automation.
• Proficient Python programming for data processing, automation, and small-scale tooling.
• Solid SQL/database skills and experience with data modeling, data governance, and data visualization.
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and a solid understanding of when to apply them versus custom development.
• Comfortable with analytical problem solving, structured testing, and quality assurance processes.
• Understanding of analytics lifecycle, from data extraction to stakeholder-facing insights.
